What is Schambergs Disease ?

Schambergs Disease may begin at any age. Schambergs Disease can affect healthy people, or it can be associated with medical problems. Some cases are genetically inherited. Schamberg's Disease happens when blood leaks from the vessels close to the skin's surface. There is also some evidence that shows that this happens due to a reaction to a medication a person might be taking or an allergic reaction to food, clothes, or other artificial coloring agents. Schamberg's disease, or progressive pigmented purpuric dermatitis, is a chronic discoloration of the skin which usually affects the legs and often spreads slowly.
